Oaza - For The Protection of Street Children

Firstly, can I thank for your emails, gifts and cards over the Christmas period. Your love, support and prayer have been very much appreciated.

Celebrations

During November we celebrated several birthdays:

• Mihaela(10)
• Renata(14)
• Erwin(16)
• Raluca(5)

All the children enjoyed their birthdays and it was also good to have Ann Long here from the UK to share with us in these celebrations. During December we also celebrated with Bobo (7) and Mattei (16)

House Extension Built

The external building of the extension at Casa Bucuriei has now been completed and Rafi & Rick (from Bolton – UK) spent time during December installing the central heating. We are trusting to be able to furnish the inside and move in as soon as possible to alleviate the overcrowding in the house.

Raul, Raluca & Alin have settled well in their new home and are enjoying family life, love and care. Thank you for your prayers. The first few months of new children within the homes is always challenging.

Thank You

Thanks to your kind donations and support Christmas was exciting and compact for all the children (and adults).

We were blessed to be able to book the restaurant again this year and have a Christmas meal whith all the Oaza children, house-parents and some staff members. It is a true blessing to have this time together as a whole family. Thank you.

Urgent Prayer Request

A new boiler for the Casa Bucuriei £650 as the old one just blew up.

2006 Mini Bus Appeal

During this past year Laura has had to make 3 trips to and from church each week – as you can imagine this is very time consuming. Oaza UK has decided that this year we should look to buying a new minibus to enable us to have trips out with groups of children and also help with the day-to-day transportation. Our current minibus is running ok at the moment however, it has started costing lots of money in repairs, and this is not economical so a new bus would be a blessing in many ways. If you would like to arrange fund-raising – sponsored events for this specific project please contact Susan who can produce official Oaza sponsor forms etc.

Prayer Points

• New staff with a loving heart for the children to be employed
• Finance for Laura’s car
• Laura as she undergoes University exams – may she do well and know the peace of the Lord that passes her understanding
• Funding for Monthly Budget needs as inflation increases
• Building work at Marnei house to run smoothly
• New EU incentives to be attainable & clear, speedy approval of Oaza’s license

• All paperwork submitted for our accreditation
• 2 staff members undergoing training
• Received volunteer applications for extra helpers
